Sara Aminzadeh

Sara Aminzadeh serves as the Public Affairs Associate for San Francisco Baykeeper, a member of the international grassroots advocacy organization Waterkeeper Alliance.  Sara coordinates the organization’s policy analysis and media relations, and serves as Baykeeper’s legislative liaison, working in Sacramento to strengthen water quality laws.

 Sara’s research and written work has focused on climate change, human rights, and the application of human rights to the climate change context.  Her related experience includes researching the application of international laws to the global climate change regime at the Institute for Computational Earth System Science and performing research on the human rights impacts of climate change at the Center for International Environmental Law.  Sara has also studied international law at Universiteit Leiden in the Netherlands and worked for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the Hague, in addition to serving as an Editor in Chief of the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review.  Sara holds a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and a B.A. in environmental studies and political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
